Artist's Description
Even before my family and I were blessed by moving to Lake Tahoe, I had already begun painting its beautiful natural wonders. I studied this scene about March of that year with the snow just starting to recede on the tall mountains. The rocks on the beach are actually the only rocks on this sandy shoreline and they appear to divide Incline Beach to the left and Ski Beach to the right. Under certain weather conditions, the color of the lake can be very clear and a vivid turquoise further enhances the beauty of Incline Beach-Lake Tahoe.
About Del Malonee
Del was born and raised in California. He is married and the father of three children. After college he began what he considers an ongoing life style of being self-taught. During his late twenties, he began his own sign/graphics business. Later he became art director for two electric sign corporations, one being the nation’s largest. He has freelanced doing full color architectural renderings for architects and developers in California and Nevada. For many years Del has had a strong passion for the ocean.
