Upon arriving to the Monterey Peninsula, you can see the sailboats out on the bay. It is such a breathtaking scene as they seem to glide so peacefully through the water. Within a short time, I took photos of the bay with the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club, Monterey Wharf and Monterey Bay Aquarium in the background. I painted a 1930's woody yacht sailing quietly along with a few others on an incredible afternoon.
Del was born and raised in California. He is married and the father of three children. After college he began what he considers an ongoing life style of being self-taught. During his late twenties, he began his own sign/graphics business. Later he became art director for two electric sign corporations, one being the nation’s largest. He has freelanced doing full color architectural renderings for architects and developers in California and Nevada. For many years Del has had a strong passion for the ocean.
