I had always wanted to do a dramatic sunset painting of Big Sur. I was commissioned by a wonderful family in Carmel for such a painting to fit in a special area over their fireplace and this was the result. I believe it shows a breathtaking scene and atmosphere representing one of California�s greatest coastlines.
Del was born and raised in California. He is married and the father of three children. After college he began what he considers an ongoing life style of being self-taught. During his late twenties, he began his own sign/graphics business. Later he became art director for two electric sign corporations, one being the nation’s largest. He has freelanced doing full color architectural renderings for architects and developers in California and Nevada. For many years Del has had a strong passion for the ocean.
